And once in a while...

Started university classes again today. As expected, I'm failing them all. If I had been sick or something I probably would have had better chances of being able to catch up. I didn't expect to be jailed so long, though.

It's almost not worth completing the course. I think I'll drop out and work more. Maybe I can re-take the year next time around, if I can earn the money for it.

Just over a year ago, though, I could barely afford this apartment. I'd say this past year has been a good one for various reasons.

Getting out of jail today. This will be interesting.

The cat doesn't appreciate when I try to type. She likes to monopolise my lap space. I don't think she'll like Watanuki either.

This thing's been going around lately. Seemed interesting.

Happy birthday to me. I should ask the day off - but do what? Mugetsu left me a mouse. Only gift I'll get, I suppose. 

Unless I demand food from Watanuki. That would work as well.

Life has been suspiciously uneventful, considering my choice of company. But I haven't seen much of Watanuki these days, outside of work. It's a shame. He's one of the most amusing people I know. Among other things.

I have been seeing a lot of my cat, though. She acquired a name, finally. Mugetsu. It was th name of a sake I was drinking last time I went for a drink. Was pretty good, at that. But it seemed to suit her, despite her colouring. I've been finding cat hair everywhere, these days. And it's impossible to leave food anywhere but in the fridge or a cupboard, because Muge is exceptionally clever when it comes to locating and eating my food. She's also the most temperamental feline I have met.

I have a feeling that things aren't going to stay so calm. Something is happening in this city, something to do with music - I haven't figured out what it is yet, but I have a feeling I won't have to wait much longer. Now might be the time to find myself another guitar - and also to brush up on my self-defense.

By a stroke of luck - most likely bad - or maybe fate, I succeeded in mortifying Watanuki beyond any previous mortification tonight. He blames me, although mainly by default. But it's going to make things nothing but awkward after this. I don't mind, but I think this actually affected him in a large way.

Nothing I can do about that, though.

On a different topic, there's a kitten that follows me around when I come home from work or school. I'm considering adopting it. I wouldn't mind having a cat.

New year's resolutions:
Keep Watanuki from getting as drunk as he did at that party
Keep the job at the Blue Hydrangeas
Adopt the kitten

It seems I have a chance for a job. The loud student from that calculus class (he says his name is Watanuki Kimihiro) tells me the restaurant he works at is understaffed, and for reasons beyond me offered a spot.

Tonight I'm going to inquire there.

Now I should probably run out for groceries, as I've run out of hot sauce.
